Some kids in the Duluth/Proctor/Hermantown/Superior/Solon Springs/ Two Harbors/Silver Bay area don't own a toothbrush or have access to toothpaste or floss.
Just Kids Dental's Smile Drive campaign mobilizes volunteers across the Head of the Lakes United Way's service area to collect toothbrushes (for ages 0-18), travel and full size fluoridated toothpaste, dental flossers, and stickers and pencils (a fun prize) for low-income uninsured and underinsured children in our communities.
Now more than ever, kids need to practice good dental hygiene to prevent the spread of germs and protect their smiles from dental disease. How can they when they don't have the "magic wand" that eradicates tooth decay-a toothbrush of their own?
