Disaster Action Team
Every day people are forced from their home due to fires, storms and other disasters. Single- and multi-family fires account for 90% of disaster responses. Compassionate and committed Disaster Action Team volunteers respond day and night to meet the immediate needs of their neighbors. Volunteers carry out 90% of the service provided by the American Red Cross, so it goes without saying without volunteers, we couldn’t do what we do. Currently our teams are stretched thin, while the demand for our service is growing. We strive to respond consistently in a proactive, timely and meaningful way, making service available to everyone who needs assistance. All training is provided free of charge.
