Who We Are

This page is for the Wisconsin Region of the Red Cross serving Ashland and Bayfield Counties.

The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies nearly half of the nation's blood; teaches lifesaving skills; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a charitable organization, not a government agency, and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission. Marathon County is part of the Wisconsin Region of the American Red Cross.

What We Do

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.

We have many volunteer opportunities. Get trained ahead of a disaster, so you can help when the need is great.

Also, become a Home Fire Advocate by placing smoke alarms in people's homes.

You can help us by becoming a PR/Communications Volunteer or a Blood Donor Ambassador. The volunteer opportunities are endless.
