The Duluth Community Garden Program has several building projects that we could use carpentry help with this summer. We will be building 5 rainwater catchment systems and one 3-bin compost system. Skilled carpenters may be placed in teams with a couple volunteers without carpentry experience to help with assembly and installation of the rainwater catchments.
Assembly of trusses for catchments will happen the weekend of July 19th (location TBD). We will need 2 or 3 skilled carpenters that day. Installation of the catchments will happen the weekend of July 26th at the gardens, and we could use 4 carpenters. Building of the compost system is yet to be scheduled and is flexible depending on volunteer availability.
