Tax season 2018 runs from Saturday, January 27 until Tuesday, April 17.
Attend one new volunteer orientation at Community Action Duluth, 2424 West 5th Street, Suite 102, 5:00-6:00 pm on MON 12/11/17, THU 12/14/17, or TUE 1/2/18.

Assistants fill non-tax-preparing roles essential to running the tax site.
Greeters sign in clients and direct them through the tax site process.
Screeners conduct intake interviews, help organize documents that clients bring to the tax site, explain tax site services and procedures to clients, and inform them about other Community Action Duluth programs. Screeners work with clients to identify how the tax site can best serve them.
Assemblers collate tax returns, perform exit interviews and obtain signatures from clients to complete the return filing process.
Tax experience is helpful but not required. The volunteer commitment includes 3 hours total of classroom and online training to certify in tax site procedures and volunteer standards of conduct, and then one clinic shift per week during the 12-week tax season. Volunteers learn about taxes and gain resume-building experience.
We provide a light dinner on clinic nights, snacks on Saturday and a 100% cotton Tax Site t-shirt.
All clinics take place at Community Action Duluth.
Shifts are available MON 4:30-9:00 pm, TUE 4:30-9:00 pm, and/or SAT 8:30 am - 1:00 pm.
