We are seeking 1-3 people who would like to send cards on a monthly basis to patient's receiving end-of-life care through Gentiva Hospice. Cards, envelopes and postage will all be provided but you're welcome to use your own cards also. Hospice is a care team of nurses, social work, aides, and volunteers who provide empathy, consideration, and care to improve all aspects of a person's journey. And what better, low commitment, way to get involved than sending someone a reminder that they're being thought of.
To be a Gentiva Volunteer, we require a background check, fingerprinting, and completion of volunteer training packet. If you'd prefer to offer face to face companionship visits with patients, a TB test would also be required.
This is a remote opportunity and can be done from anywhere!
