Come Celebrate Halloween with Grandma's Marathon and the Young Athletes Foundation!
The North End Nightmare 5K is coming up on Saturday October 22nd in Superior. We are looking for some awesome volunteers to help us put on our Halloween 5K. Most volunteer jobs run from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. All volunteers will receive a North End Nightmare 5K Sweatshirt. Below are the roles I am looking to fill. Please let me know if you are available and willing to help and it you have preference on role. Costumes highly recommended
Volunteer Roles
- Spider Dash Kids Races Start/Finish Line: Help line up kids for the Spider Dash and hand out treats at the finish line (5 Volunteers/3:30pm-4:30pm)
- Kids Face Painting: Help paint faces in the kids zone, all paint supplied by GM (2 Volunteers/ 3:00 PM-5:00PM)
- Costume Contest: Take photos for the costume contest (2 Volunteers)
- Course Marshals: Help keep the runners on course and cheer them on (10 volunteers)
- Finish Line- Help hand out food to runners, assist with the green station for trash/recycling (10 Volunteers)
- Haunted Garage: Help greet participants going into the haunted garage (2 volunteers/ 3:00 PM-6:00 PM)
- Decoration/Scare Zones
- Clown Town: Help set up the Clown Town area by Sweden sweets and dress up during the race, costumes available (4 volunteers)
- Lost Souls Lane: help set up the ghosts along Banks Ave (3 Volunteers/ Friday 10/21)
- Spider Area: Help set up spiders and webbing at the starting line (3 Volunteers/Saturday Morning)
- Zombies: Dress up like zombies and help scare the participants (5 Volunteers)
