Stamp Out Hunger Driving Volunteers!

Description

The Letter Carriers' Donor Drive is BACK and looking for volunteers!

What will you be doing?

Driving volunteers will follow mail carriers and help pick up donations along their route and then bring the donations back to the main post office on Michigan Street. This is a great way to explore the community and see the amazing work that our local mail carriers do. This is perfect for a family where the adult can drive and kiddos can hop out and help load or for a small group of friends!

Why is this event important?

The NALC Food Drive has been happening across the country since 1991 and has collected approximately 1.9 billion pounds of food for those in need. In Duluth, the event before COVID was collecting over 150,000lbs of food! That's enough food to feed over 100 Duluthians for an entire year! Our food shelves are experiencing a critical shortage and your help is more important than ever.

The Details

We'll meet you at the Michigan Street Post Office to partner you with a mail carrier and get you set up for your route. You will be paired up with a driver to help bring what they have collected to the Post Office to be sorted and weighed!
