Our Gentiva Hospice team in Duluth MN is looking for a compassionate volunteer to assist one or two patients in maintaining their independence at home. This role involves light homemaking tasks once a week, such as helping with laundry, taking out the garbage, getting the mail, etc.
For many patients, staying at home as their care needs increase is deeply meaningful. It allows them to remain in familiar surroundings, preserve daily routines, and maintain a sense of dignity and control. While family caregivers often provide invaluable support, volunteers can ease the load and help make daily life more manageable.
By donating one hour per week, you’ll help create a more comfortable home environment and offer patients the practical assistance they need to continue living independently.
Onboarding requires a valid ID, TB testing, drug screening and a background check. Training is provided.
