Who We Are

Our Vision

A world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Our Mission

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Western Lake Superior Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through

  • constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes
  • by advocating for fair and just housing policies
  • by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions

What We Do

Join us this year as we build a homes in Carlton, Lake and St. Louis counties. We plan to conduct home repair and social connection projects with older adult homeowners.

We engage local volunteers and donors to make a difference right here in our community. We invite you to join us through:

  • Home builds or rehabilitation that are sold to lower-income new homeowners with an affordable mortgage
  • Age in Place home repair program with social supports for older adult homeowners
  • ReStore: a home improvement store open to the public with affordably priced merchandise

At Western Lake Superior Habitat for Humanity, we allow folks to “Love thy Neighbor” in a safe, supervised environment that leaves a lasting impact, physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. From the Duluth to Two Harbors/Silver Bay to Carlton County we connect those who care with those in need.
