Who We Are

Life House’s mission is to reconnect homeless and street youth to their dreams. Our vision is that no youth will be left homeless, alone, uncared for, or fending for themselves on the streets. Life House takes intentional steps to ensure all youth who enter our doors are safe and feel unconditionally accepted, welcomed, and nurtured. Life House provides an environment that fosters multicultural perspectives and lived experiences where young people are respected, listened to, and can explore the possibilities in their lives.

What We Do

For 30 years, Life House has been a fixture in the Duluth Community, providing comprehensive wrap-around supportive services to the most vulnerable youth in our area. In 2023, we served almost 800 homeless and at-risk youth ages 14-24 who disproportionately represent communities of color (60%), self-identify as LGBTQ+ (30%), and nearly all live in poverty. Our integrated service model provides opportunities for youth to reach their full potential: youth become engaged by connecting to others in our Drop-in Youth Center; stabilized through our Housing Programs; heal within our Mental Health and Wellness Programs; and thrive by pursuing opportunities in our Futures Education and Employment Program.
