Who We Are

Our mission is "Choosing Joy, Spreading Hope, Ending Hunger."

Project Joy was started by the Plys family after the loss of husband and father, Patrick Plys. The Plys family is now carrying on his legacy and honoring him by addressing the needs of hungry children in the Northland through "Project Joy".

What started as a family legacy project was rallied around by a community and became much more than we ever dare dreamed. We are inviting you to join us. You may have heard the statement, "it takes a village to raise a child." And quite simply, we can't do this alone. Childhood hunger is a growing problem in our community but a solvable one. With all the challenges kids face today, let's not let hunger be one of them.

What We Do

Project Joy raises funds to address childhood hunger in the Northland. We work directly with the community to provide resources to schools and community organizations that work with family and youth and community members who are facing food insecurity.
