Who We Are
A non-profit organization serving the community of Duluth community and surrounding areas focusing on hunger and nutrition.
Through partnership with donors, volunteers, and other supporters, we traditionally serve more than 70,000 meals each year. Because of all of you who have supported our work, more than 450,000 items of clothing and household items are given to those in need. Because of you, the Damiano Center is a cornerstone of the Duluth community and an essential part of the local social safety net. This is an organization created by the community for the community.
Each financial gift, gift of time, or donated clothing or other items, is used to provide basic necessities to families and individuals who are low-income. In partnership with you, Damiano provides basic necessities, connections to local resources, and respectful service to individuals and families in need. This essential work would be impossible without your support, so please consider volunteering your time to support those who are less fortunate in the Duluth community.
What We Do
The Damiano Center's mission is "with respect and compassion, we honor the dignity of all people and strengthen our community by providing essential services to individuals and families who are in need." Our goal is to be responsive to the needs of low-income, unemployed and working poor people in our community as simply and directly as possible.
