Who We Are

With the help of over 400 volunteers each year, Northland Adaptive Recreation delivers a wide variety of recreational and sports programs for youth and adults with disabilities in the Twin Ports region of northeastern Minnesota, northwestern Wisconsin, Iron Range, and Northshore communities. Our adaptive programs include alpine ski & snowboard, archery, kayaking, sailing, cycling, swimming, yoga, and more!

These activities enhance independence, improve self-confidence and encourage an active, healthy lifestyle for youth and adults with physical disabilities, and youth on the autism spectrum.

What We Do

Northland Adaptive Recreation empowers people with disabilities to realize their full potential in every aspect of life and especially through adaptive sports and recreation. We are guided by the vision that one day all people will live, work, learn and play in a community based on abilities, not disabilities. Our programs are made possible with the help and leadership of over 400 volunteers each year.
