What We Do
Compassionate Care and Housing for Seniors
Our mission is to witness to God's love by providing compassionate, quality care with special concern for the underserved and those in need. The Benedictine Health Center is a part of the Benedictine Health System which is entrusted with advancing the health care ministry of the Benedictine Sisters of Duluth, MN. The Benedictine Health Center is the region’s only full continuum of care available to serve individuals and families. Offering short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing care, senior housing, memory care, adult day services, outpatient therapy, and preschool; our core values frame the vision of our ministry of care.
We provide compassionate care and competent service in an environment that enhances human worth.
Setting the Standard for Quality
The Benedictine Sisters of the St. Scholastica Monastery have long been known as healthcare pioneers in this region. They built St. Mary's Medical Center over a century ago to meet the needs of a growing populace in northeastern Minnesota. Over the years, dozens more healthcare facilities were launched and have networked to from the Benedictine Health System which is also headquartered in Duluth.
When the sisters created the Benedictine Health Center in 1980, it was with one goal in mind: to provide the very best long-term care available in the area. Their commitment was to bring together the greatest program and people to enhance the quality of life for older adults, young children and individuals with special needs.
