

What We Do
It is the responsibility of the Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department to maintain:
- City parks
- Dog park
- Ballfields Playgrounds
- Boat launches
- Trails (ATV, snowmobile, cross-country skiing)
- Urban trees
- Recreational areas
- Outdoor ice rinks
In addition to the responsibility of maintenance, the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department provides the following services: Park/ballfield reservations
- Boat launch permits
- Canoe/kayak rack rentals
- Bayside Sounds concerts
- Summer playground program
- Winter skating program
- Adopt-A program and volunteer opportunities
- Archery hunting permits for City hunting areas
- Cross-country ski trail permits
- Special Event permits
