At Wild Rivers Habitat for Humanity, it is believed that everyone deserves a decent place to live. Since its founding in 1997, Wild Rivers has been dedicated to building strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership and critical home repairs in Polk, Burnett, Rusk, and Washburn Counties and surrounding communities in Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas, Price and Taylor Counties in Wisconsin. “100 Projects in One Day” is a hands-on volunteer opportunity focused on supporting seniors, veterans, and local households through small assembly projects and household support items. Some ways we will support the community include assembling simple porch planters to distribute to local seniors & veterans, collecting simple donations (flashlights & batteries, night lights, rug grippers, dish soap & cleaning supplies, gardening gloves & seed packets, small garden tools, ziplock bags, tool kits, first aid supplies, household basics, etc.), assembling "Safe at Home Kits" with donated materials, and more! Small acts of care help create safer, stronger, and more welcoming homes.
