1600 new patients start chemotherapy each year and many of them come from around the region, traveling up to 70 miles each way for treatment. Gas cards to Holiday or Kwik trip in the amount of $20 each would be very helpful for the social workers to give to the patients that find travel to treatment to be a hardship.
