Specifically, we need people who are involved and connected to businesses and organizations interested in reducing waste. Other areas we desire are small business owners, people active in civic groups, and those with connections to area schools. Companies to Classrooms Duluth is a unique nonprofit that addresses two important community issues. We collect unneeded items, many headed for the landfill, from businesses and individuals. These items are displayed in a store where teachers are invited to shop for free once a month, during the school year. The Companies to Classrooms board is an active, engaged board that meetson the second Thursday of the month from noon to 1:30 p.m. . Currently, all meetings are through Webex.
