Needs From: Head of the Lakes United Way

I am seeking 1 or 2 people that would like to volunteer to help watch the shelter on the weekends for 3-6 hrs when my live in volunteer is away from the shelter. Responsibilities would include helping the residents if they need supplies or have questions, answering the phone, and some light cleaning. We do have a volunteer application and you would need to be able to pass a background check.

I am looking for groups or individuals that would like to prepare a meal on site or make a premade meal that all we have to do is either cook it or warm it up.

We serve dinner to the guys in the shelter daily between 5 and 5:30pm. There are typically 5-10 guys that are here for the meal. You would want to arrive early to prepare and plan for a little clean up time afterwards. We have a wide array of pans, pots, and utensils here.

You could prepare the meal here in our kitchen. We are a certified foodservice kitchen.

This would give you an opportunity to get to know some of the guys we serve and possibly make a connection as a resource.
