Harbor House Crisis Shelters is closing a chapter from the very beginning of our book and helping another local organization to bring a much needed service to our community.
NAMI, National Alliance for Mental Illness, will begin to renovate our old shelter site into a Peer Run Respite, Hope Haven.
- Hope Haven will be run by and for peers who provide assurance and hope in the possibility that the recovery that one desires is possible.
A Peer Run Respite is for those struggling with their mental health, each individual can stay up to 7 days. Peer Support can be provided and is always available as well as resources for those in need. It also does not cost anything to stay at the Peer Respite.
PLEASE COME JOIN US OCTOBER 11TH, 2023 FROM 9AM-3PM AT 19 N 21ST ST E SUPERIOR, WI 54880.
We will be cleaning out the old shelter site that NAMI will be making into a Peer Respite, this will take us about 6 hours and we plan to start at 9am. Everything that NAMI hasn't already decided to keep needs to go, so we will have a dumpster to throw everything away!
