Description

Join IET, Family Freedom Center and the African Heritage Commission for an afternoon of storytelling, educations, music, art, basketball, food, BIPOC vendors and community celebration. volunteers will help support interactive activities focused on social justice, community learning, and creative expression. Participants will have opportunities to share their perspectives through video storytelling, engage in educational activities, and contribute to a collaborative Community art project. 

Volunteer opportunities include: event set up and teardown, videography support and camera set-up,  microphone and recording assistance, interview facilitation and participant engagement, asking reflection questions and helping collect community stories, assisting with the collaborative art project, general event support and hospitality. 

 Please indicate your specific area of interest when signing up (art support, outreach, intake assistance, videography, video editing, setup/teardown, or general support).
