Twin Ports Annual Juneteenth Event 2024 June 14th & 15th

In need of volunteers for our Twin Ports Juneteenth Event on June 15th, 12pm to 6pm at Harrison Community Center. Last year we had about 2,500 people show up and not enough volunteers to serve them. Need set up, event and clean up assistance. Set up shift is from 8am to 12pm, need assistance with primarily food preparation but also game, activity and vendor table set up. Event shift is 12pm to 6pm, if you can't commit to the whole time, that's okay! We will take you for however much time you can give! For the event we need people to serve food, restock, clean tables, sign people in, collect trash, monitor the kid activities especially the bouncy castle, bring food/drinks to the vendors, relieve other volunteers for breaks and assist elders or disabled members of the community. Clean up shift will be from 6pm till possibly 8pm. The event center needs to be completely cleaned and everything put back the way it was initially, load vehicles with any supplies or leftover food, help take down education materials, pack up games/activities and gather any trash on the property.
