Class instructor ( **classroom fees are split, please see below)

We are always looking for people who want to share & teach others their talents/craft.

If you have an idea for a class please send it to me kayakroll9@gmail.com and I will get it to the correct person, once approved you would commit to the following:

Secure the space needed at DMC in advance. Promote/advertise the class on social media & websites Arrive minimum 20 minutes prior to class to set up Provide class tools & materials needed (if DMS does not currently have on hand) to complete the class. Clean up the area after the class is conducted. Turn in receipts of materials purchased for reimbursement after class is complete.

** After material costs are reimbursed to you (any leftover materials donated to shop) the instructor and DMS split the remaining profits 50/50.

Front Desk coverage

Basic duties of the front desk include:

Welcoming guests and giving tours of the MakerSpace Processing new members and giving them a brief orientation. Communicating correspondence from members and guests to other volunteer managers. Emptying trash, vacuuming, turning out lights and securing the building (if needed) at the end of the shift.

We are looking for the following shifts

M-F 5:15 to 8:15

Sat/Sun 12-4

Bonus - If you can commit to work a minimum of 2 shifts (one must include a weekend shift) per month you are eligible for a discount on a monthly membership. (If you choose you would like a membership, however membership is not required to volunteer).
