We offer a Food Shelf Program that distributes food and personal care items at four locations: Ashland, Cable, Cornucopia, and Mellen. Our Benevolence Program assists with emergency financial resources and provides referrals.

Office Assistant Job Description:

Office Assistants work under the supervision of the Office Manager, carrying out administrative tasks and providing client services.

Specific duties include:
• Answering the telephone
• Registering clients
• Using the computer to enter client data

The Office Assistant position has considerable contact with the public. The ideal applicant is courteous and nonjudgmental. Prior experience in customer service or clerical work is helpful, but not required.

Warehouse Assistant Job Description:

Warehouse Assistants work under the supervision of the Food Shelf Manager.

Specific duties may include:
• Picking up food donations from local businesses and unloading monthly truck deliveries
• Loading up food in company vehicle to deliver to outlet site pantries
• Stocking shelves, coolers, and freezers
• Assorted cleaning tasks in pantry and warehouse
• Sorting food donations with safety guidelines provided by Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank

Warehouse Assistants will be asked to lift up to 50 pounds and utilize pallet jack. Similar work experience is preferred but not required.
