All Aboard!!! The Duluth River Train/Lake Superior Mississippi Railroad prides itself as an all-volunteer organization. Volunteers are essential for preserving our railroad heritage and telling the stories of the St. Louis River Estuary.
The Duluth River Train operates vintage railroad equipment so passengers may experience rail transportation as it was in the early middle 19th century. We are committed to providing the public with a historical and educational railroad experience.
The Lake Superior & Mississippi Railroad Company (LS&M) is a non-profit group, providing a historic train ride along the St. Louis River Estuary in western Duluth. Our excursions run mid-June through mid-October 2025. This is a very beautiful, historic journey along the river. Narration along the route provides the history of this original rail into Duluth as well as information of business and cultural aspects of the past and present. It's a ride that we are all proud to share.
