Open Hands Food Project

Who We Are

We are a small group of dedicated volunteers that enjoy bettering our community by providing fresh food free of chemicals to people in need, and beautiful flowers to the elderly in nursing homes. This is our sixth year of operation, and we are donating more and more every year, with our record being over 7,000 pounds! If we have more people to consistently help weed, our donations will exponentially grow, because we will be able to harvest and plant new things quicker when our field thrives. If you enjoy getting your hands in the dirt and talking with friends, we are the group for you! We hope to see you here! Our field is located at Birchview Greenhouse and farm: 5996 Cant Rd, Duluth MN

What We Do

We work in at 2 acre field to weed and harvest 5,000+ pounds of farm fresh food every year to donate to local food providers, who in turn distribute to people in need. We also provide hundreds of flower vases to local nursing homes every year.
