Girls on the Run MN

Girls on the Run Minnesota is a council of Girls on the Run International, proudly serving girls across the state of Minnesota. Since our council’s inception in 2011, we have unlocked the power and potential of 40,000+ participants and made a lasting impact on our community through participant-led service projects. Each year, more than 5,000 participants joyfully cross the finish line at a Girls on the Run Minnesota 5K! Our Mission: We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Our Vision: We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.

At Girls on the Run Minnesota, teaching essential life skills is the cornerstone of our research-based programs. Trained volunteer coaches facilitate lessons that blend physical activity with life skill development, including managing emotions, fostering friendships, and expressing empathy.
