The Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging (AAAA)’s vision is that all people 60+ in the Arrowhead have access to supportive services and the choice to be independent, active and stay in their own homes as long as possible.

The purpose of an Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is to carry out, under the leadership and direction of the State Agency, a wide range of functions that will lead to the development of comprehensive and coordinated community-based systems designed to assist older persons in leading independent, meaningful, and dignified lives in their own homes and communities. The Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging is a division of the Arrowhead Regional Development Commission (ARDC). ARDC is a regional planning and development agency serving the counties of Aitkin, Carlton, Cook, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake, and St. Louis in Northeast Minnesota.
