Chum – Community Day Volunteer Project

When: Tuesday, October 1st, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM (2–3 hour shifts)
Why:
Chum is preparing for a major renovation project over the next 18 months. To ensure we can continue serving our community without interruption, we are relocating into two new spaces. Volunteers from CSS will help us with essential moving and set-up tasks to make sure our staff, services, and guests are supported during this transition.
Project Description:
Volunteers will help Chum settle into two new locations. Tasks may include:
-
Moving boxes and supplies into designated areas
-
Setting up furniture and organizing office space
-
Light cleaning (dusting, wiping surfaces, vacuuming) to prepare new workspaces
-
Helping health and stabilization services transition smoothly into their new home at the Damiano Center
Volunteer Impact:
Your service will directly support Chum staff and programs that provide shelter, food, and critical resources to people experiencing homelessness, hunger, and poverty in Duluth. By lending a hand with this move, you’ll help Chum continue its mission without interruption during this time of transition.
